Main roles and responsibilities of the Lead Member
- To support the delivery of the Progress with Unity missions and Council plan
- Support the delivery of housing services, including oversight of repairs, maintenance, tenant experience and service improvement activity
- Promote effective tenant engagement, including supporting the work of the Housing Advisory Panel and strengthening resident involvement in shaping services
- Support delivery of welfare and cost of living support, including elements such as the Council Tax Support Scheme and local support initiatives that help residents sustain tenancies
- To support our Community Wealth Building approach, including promoting heritage assets to encourage people to live, work and spend their money locally
