Reports to the Portfolio Holders for:

To support the delivery of the Progress with Unity missions and Council plan
To champion district centres to support the creation of a thriving night-time economy
To encourage pride in district centres and support ambitions to create environments that everyone can enjoy
To support the development, diversification, and improvement of the local offer in our district centres
To drive forward the Community Wealth Building approach working with our communities and partners to deliver safer neighbourhoods for residents to enjoy
To support the delivery of our Climate Change Strategy, including encouraging communities and partners to consider their environmental impact

Support economic development and regeneration by diversifying uses within our town and district centres to give people new reasons to visit and spend time in them
To drive forward the Community Wealth Building approach including increasing the community use and control of council owned land and assets, particularly those which are under-utilised
To support the delivery of our Climate Change Strategy, including building on community pride and working together with communities to create a cleaner, greener borough
To support the 'Our Town' initiative to foster pride and build a sense of community in the borough’s towns, celebrating the places and people that make the borough great
Support the council’s ambition to achieve the Purple Flag award for Leigh town centre and to retain Wigan town centre's Purple Flag
Lead the implementation of Greater Manchester Night-time Economy Strategy
