Here at The Hub, we value the importance of you having a base where you can access support or just drop in for a brew and a chat. We are open every weekday.

At your hub there is:
- Dedicated young peoples rooms
- A shower room
- A washer and dryer
- Kitchen
- Food and toiletry pantry
- Groups to attend - including groups for new parents
- Events
- Monthly drop ins for mindfulness, mental health support, support with e-cigarettes, healthy diets which can be personalised relevant to your own needs, housing queries, domestic abuse support, ‘Staying Put’ and Supported Lodgings support
- Monthly Lads group held by the Specialist Children in Care Nursing team with a focus on emotional wellbeing, outdoor activities and promoting your physical health
- General support including form filling, meals, clothing
- Monthly walk and talk
- Access to pathway planning process officers
- Connected Families group every Wednesday 4.30-6.30pm (Connected Families is our participation group for Wigan’s care leavers)
- Parenting offer
We love seeing you at The Hub, and this is also where our PAs are based.
We are always happy to hear from you, and we want you to have someone to turn to when you need it, feel free to keep in touch, tell us about what you have achieved, if there is anything we can help you with or if you just fancy a chat! We are available even after you reach 21.
Care Leavers can also access opportunities via the Care Leavers Covenant (external link). These include employment, training and holistic support along with home kits, home DIY refurbishments, free tickets, discounts and giveaways.
BeeConnected app for Care Leavers
Care leavers in Greater Manchester can download and access an app to help them find and access support, offers and opportunities available to them, all in one place. The BeeConnected App for Care Leavers (external link) has been developed by Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA). The app has information on:
- Greater Manchester’s Care Leaver’s Guarantee and the help and support on offer across GM
- Help and advice in your area, with offers for care leavers from each of the GM councils
- Events and activities across GM
- Opportunities for working, training and learning
- Details on organisations, groups and services that can support you.
