Support for developers

What is the Developer Hub?

The Developer Hub is an online tool to help developers navigate and understand all aspects of the housing development process. We want to help YOU bring forward high quality, affordable and accessible homes to meet Wigan’s current and future housing needs.

We know that there are four main barriers to housing development - access to land, planning, funding and skills.

This hub is designed to take you through each of those barriers successfully, providing you with clear, concise and relevant information so that your development journey is as simple and straightforward as possible.

Business Support

Our Business Support team offers support and guidance on funding, running your business and hiring apprentices and trainees. We urge you to contact our business engagement team to see how they can support you.

They organise a variety of events designed specifically for the property and construction sector. Events range from informal meet and greet sessions to topical property events and seminars.

They also support the Wigan Bolton and Bury Construction Club where businesses can link in with a high-level network, working collaboratively and sharing good practice. These events are held three times a year in each of the local authority areas.
