High Quality Professional Development Services

crowdLEyEP offers high quality professional development services which include the following:

Advice and support on all aspects of EYFS provision and practice

The extended team can provide up to date knowledge and expertise regarding the delivery of good and outstanding practice, statutory requirements regarding Ofsted registration, regulation and inspection and how to meet the learning and development, safeguarding and welfare requirements effectively.

EYFS support for schools - Early Years Audit

LEyEP will be offering packages of support for schools based on the Early Years Audit. The audit covers all four key areas for Ofsted and through observation and reflection; it provides outcomes and areas for further development within each area. The key indicators within the audit provide an overview of good practice and support tools are offered alongside these. Schools will receive a basic action plan but if an in depth plan is required, this can be arranged along with a package of support visits tailored to the school’s individual needs.

Professional mentor role for teachers and practitioners

LEyEP can offer advice and support for Early Years Leaders and teachers in schools, offering that professional mentor relationship.

Feedback

The Early Years Team have recently co-ordinated and delivered bespoke in-house ‘Supporting Children with SEND for Practitioners’ training for 30 practitioners in a private and voluntary setting. The focus of the training was for staff to feel confident in putting in place the Graduated Approach and understanding their responsibilities from practitioner to manager level in supporting children with SEND. This was brought to life by then providing a modelling and coaching session, within their own nursery environment, using tried and tested strategies tailored to the settings needs.

The practitioner’s feedback was that they have:

"Learned a lot about their responsibilities and understand the Graduated Approach".

"I feel like I have been given tools and strategies to support me as a practitioner".

"It has given me the understanding to help support the children’s needs".

The Nursery Manager has contacted the team since the training to say she can already see strategies and advice from the training being embedded.
