Before you begin
You will be required to upload copies of certain documentation. You will not be able to process your application without this.
Residents and Business Exemption
Residents and Businesses can apply for a school street exemption if their vehicle is registered to an address within the area covered by the School Street.
Please provide registration document (logbook) proving that your vehicle is registered to a property within the school street area.
Carer Exemption
Carers for vulnerable residents that require access can apply for an exemption to enter the school street area. Suitable evidence must be provided.
Blue badge holders
Blue Badge holders who have reason to access the school site can apply for an exemption to enter the school street area. A letter from the Head Teacher of the school will be required as proof that access to the school site is required.
SEN and school exemptions
Parents/carers of pupils with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) that require a car to access school can apply for a school street exemption. Please note that a letter from the head teacher of the school will be required to prove that access is required.
General Terms and Conditions
- The authorisation of an exemption does not guarantee a space outside the property you are visiting.
- A vehicle exemption is to enter the zone and does not exempt the vehicle from contravening the parking restrictions/prohibitions in place
- Exemptions may not be offered for personal gain. Any abuse of the use of the exemption will result in it being cancelled immediately
- Data may be shared with other departments within the Authority.
