Wigan Council supports working carers and is an active member of Carers UK’s business forum, Employers for Carers.
Employers for Carers is a digital resource for both employees and employers. Through our membership you can access the digital platform which offers a wealth of practical, emotional and financial information resources designed to give carers the support they need.
Carers and local employers can access the Employers for Carers by signing up using our Unique access code.
Wigan Council are a Carer Confident Employer. The Carer Confident benchmarking scheme assists employers to build a supportive and inclusive workplace for staff who are, or will become carers.
