Affordable Housing Provision

It indicates the amount of such housing that will be required and the types of affordable housing that will be acceptable. Provision will primarily be required on-site as part of the wider development. However, it also gives guidance on the alternatives to on-site provision that could be appropriate, such as off-site provision, the refurbishment of defective housing, a financial contribution to the refurbishment of unfit housing and/or the reuse of vacant dwellings.

The Affordable Housing Provision in New Residential Developments Supplementary Planning Document is supplementary to Policy R1H in the Replacement Unitary Development Plan.
