Permanent Orders

Temporary Orders

There are a number of temporary orders which are in force across the Borough. Some are in operation for a few days whilst others will be for a much longer period. The maximum time the Council can grant a temporary order is for 6 months, however in some cases; often linked to new developments and major engineering works, extensions can be granted by the Secretary of State for the Department of Transport.

Where a temporary order is in force there should be notices and plans up on the public right of way advising if there is an alternative route available and the length of time the order is in operation.
