Applying for Reception class place for September 2025
If your child was born between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021, they will start reception class at the start of the new school year in September 2025.
The closing date for on time applications was 15 January 2025.
If you have not yet applied for a primary school place, or wish to change your mind about the preferences or the order of preferences you must complete a primary in-year application available on the Moving Schools webpage.
Applying for Reception class place for September 2026
If your child was born between 1st September 2021 and 31st August 2022, they will start reception class at the start on the new school year in September 2026.
The online application service and details of how to apply for a place in reception class for September 2026 will be available here towards the end of September 2025.
