We have commissioned the Greater Manchester Transportation Unit (external link) (now within Transport for Greater Manchester) to undertake a detailed analysis of the impact of development with our proposed Core Strategy on the transport network, together with the potential transport infrastructure and mitigation measures required to support that level of development in a sustainable and viable manner. This Core Strategy Transport Study is now complete.
The work followed on from previous transport modelling work undertaken for Wigan Borough and at a broader level for the whole of the Greater Manchester districts.
