How can I get involved?

Throughout the planning and development of the project we want to involve a wide range of stakeholders and residents. Haigh Hall is such an important building for so many local people and groups and the Council wants to engage with the wider community as the plans are developed.

The Haigh Hall Conversation 2021

In autumn 2021 the doors to the hall were thrown open to welcome visitors who were asked to share their memories, hopes and dreams for the future of the hall.

Visitors were encouraged to bring along their cherished artefacts and photographs to help form a new archive collection capturing this moment in time as we prepare to embark on the next chapter in the hall’s history.

In total, we spoke to 764 people and captured a vast amount of material for the archives, including photographs and drawings. This process and the feedback have allowed us to develop the plans for the hall.

The Masterplan Conversation - May 2022

In May we opened the doors to Haigh Hall once again to share the masterplan with residents in person.

What next?

We are delighted to be been awarded £20 million from the levelling up fund. As our plans develop we will be planning a range of activities with our stakeholder and residents. Further details of our engagement plans will be shared over the coming months.
