Digi Fest is a fun and friendly community festival bringing the borough together to celebrate all things digital, taking place at two locations in Wigan and Leigh. Digi Fest brings together brilliant local charities, community groups, businesses, council teams, TechMates and digital experts to showcase the digital support and services available to residents in an engaging and activity focused way.
With hands‑on activities, creative experiences and practical help, Digi Fest is all about building confidence, sparking curiosity and showing how digital can support everyday life. Whether you’re just getting started or want to learn something new, Digi Fest is a welcoming space to explore, connect and get digitally savvy.

Host an activity or stall at Digi Fest
We want you at Digi Fest! We’re inviting organisations, groups, council teams and individuals to get involved by bringing an activity or stall along to the festival. You don’t need to be a digital organisation or even offer a digital service - what matters most is your support in helping residents engage with the wide range of support we collectively offer across the borough.
This could be anything from hosting a stall to showcase your service or organisation, running a creative digital activity, or bringing along tech for people to try out and experience. The more interactive and creative, the better, but traditional stalls are absolutely encouraged too. Nothing is off the table - if it supports residents, involves digital in any way, or helps people engage with technology in a fun and accessible way, we’d love to hear from you.
Volunteer as a Digi Fest Ambassador
We’re looking for Digi Fest Ambassadors who can help bring the festival to life. As a Digi Fest Ambassador, you’ll be a friendly, recognisable face on the day, wearing Digi Fest branding and welcoming residents as they arrive. You’ll help encourage people to take part in activities, support our TechMates and TechTime areas by offering one‑to‑one digital help, and show residents how to use TechTime equipment such as Nintendo Switches, VR headsets and retro gaming machines. You’ll also act as a general helping hand to help the event run smoothly.
Don’t worry if you haven’t used everything before - all volunteers will be shown how to operate the equipment before the event opens. And of course, you’ll still have plenty of time to explore Digi Fest yourself, try out activities and enjoy the festival atmosphere.
