There will be many opportunities for local residents and other key stakeholders to be involved throughout the plan’s preparation.
In October – December 2022, we held an extensive public focused consultation on Issues and Opportunities, in which we invited local residents to have their say on the future of our borough.
We had a fantastic response rate with over 1,400 local residents completing the questionnaire.
We have been considering all the responses received, and these will inform a further consultation on ‘Options and Preferences’ in October – December 2023, with consultation on an Initial Draft Local Plan following in the summer of 2024.
The consultation on Issues and Opportunities was based around 7 key themes – homes, jobs, town centres, transport, places, environment and people.
