Wigan Council can issue Penalty Notices for animal health and welfare offences under the Animals (Penalty Notices) Act 2022.
A Penalty Notice allows a person, business or organisation to pay a fixed penalty instead of being prosecuted in court.
Paying a Penalty Notice is not an admission of guilt and does not result in a criminal record.

If you have been issued a Penalty Notice by the Licensing Team, you can make a payment online.
Please ensure you quote the penalty reference number when making the payment.
Failure to pay a penalty notice may then result in a prosecution.
