How to pay your business rates

There are many different ways to pay your business rates.

Pay by Direct Debit

Direct Debit is the easiest way to pay your bill. We offer customers a choice of five dates each month when they can pay. These are the 1st, 6th, 15th, 21st and 27th.

You are also protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee, which promises that you will get your money back straight away if anything goes wrong.

If more than one signatory is required, you will need to complete a paper version of the direct debit form:

Pay online

You can pay your business rates online with a debit or credit card, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Pay by telephone

You can pay your bill by credit or debit card 24 hours a day by phoning the automated bill payment hotline number 01942 489006. Have your card and reference number ready when you call. Payments cannot be made with American Express cards.

Pay by telephone / online banking or standing order

To pay your bill via telephone or online banking, or by standing order with your bank you will need our bank details:

  • Our bank account number is: 63553698
  • Our sort code is: 20-55-58
  • You must quote your 12 digit billing reference shown on the front of your bill as the reference for your payment.

Pay at the Post Office or PayPoint

You can pay your business rates by cash, debit card or credit card at any Post Office or by cash at any PayPoint outlet nationwide. You will need a bill with a barcode on it to pay. If you already have one of these simply take it along and make the payment.
