The Tenant Voice and Engagement gardening competition 2024

If there is one thing that brightens up the day, it’s a nice garden and if you like gardening why not enter this year’s new garden competition.

Anyone with green fingers and a passion for gardening can apply, you just need to be a tenant of Wigan Council.

The competition has 6 categories;

  • Best garden front and rear
  • Most improved or transformed garden. Please send before and after photos of an unloved space that has now been transformed
  • Best Eco Garden. Making positive steps and doing your bit no matter how small, to make a difference to support local wildlife, improve our health and help tackle the climate crisis
  • Best pots and baskets
  • Best allotment/school, eligible sheltered housing or community garden scheme
  • Best street.

The competition will be judged by our volunteer judges and prizes will be presented for the winner and runner up for each category.

Please note: by entering into the competition, photos of your garden may be shared on our social media platforms.
