High-rise blocks

Our High‑rise Focus Group, Champions and Readers Panel help make sure tenants living in our high‑rise blocks have a clear and direct voice in shaping services.

Tenants told us they wanted a dedicated space to raise issues, share experiences and work with the council to resolve concerns specific to living in high‑rise homes.

What you told us

Tenants wanted a dedicated platform to raise concerns specific to high‑rise living.

You felt some issues were not being addressed or understood fully.

You wanted clearer communication and easier access to information about your block.

Tenants asked for more opportunities to work together and influence improvements.

How we listened

  • High‑rise Focus Group: now meets every two months bringing tenants, council officers and partner agencies together to discuss issues and find solutions
  • High‑rise Readers Panel: reviews block‑specific communications before they go out to residents
  • High‑rise Champions: recruited across blocks to provide a direct point of contact
  • Dedicated web page: created with all high‑rise information in one place
  • Support for an independent tenants and residents group.

Wider impact

    • 15–20 tenants regularly attend the High‑rise Focus Group
    • Four members now form the High‑rise Readers Panel
    • Three High‑rise Champions in post
    • Digital noticeboards used to promote involvement
    • Stronger relationships with tenants.
