High-rise together

This page has been created especially for people living in our high-rise buildings. Tenants and residents told us that high-rise communities are often overlooked, so this page brings together all the ways you can get involved, share your views, and stay updated on what’s happening.

High-rise Champions

Our High-rise Champions are residents who volunteer to share feedback, raise ideas, and help us understand what matters most to people living in high-rise homes.

High-rise Champions:

  • Share issues and suggestions from their own buildings
  • Help test new ideas and improvements
  • Work closely with housing teams to make sure high-rise voices are heard.

If you would like to become a High-rise Champion, please get in touch using the Tenant Voice team contact form or call us on 01942 486645.

High-rise Engagement Strategy

We have a dedicated High-rise Engagement Strategy to make sure tenants and residents in high-rise buildings are always included in decision-making.

The strategy sets out how we will:

  • Communicate clearly with high-rise residents
  • Involve residents early when changes are planned
  • Give regular updates about building improvements
  • Make sure feedback from high-rise homes shapes how we work.

High-rise Readers Panel

Our High-rise Readers Panel brings together tenants and residents from high-rise buildings to review letters, leaflets and other information before we send it out.

Panel members help us check that information for high-rise tenants and residents is:

  • Clear
  • Easy to understand
  • Relevant to high-rise living.

If you would like to join the Readers Panel, we’d love to hear from you - please get in touch using the Tenant Voice team contact form or call us on 01942 486645.

High-rise tenant Housing Advisory Panel Member

We have a dedicated high-rise representative on our Housing Advisory Panel who speaks on behalf of people living in our high-rise buildings. This representative ensures high-rise issues are discussed at a senior level within the council.

Chris has been a Housing Advisory Panel member since 2017. He is also a member of the Housing Ombudsman’s panel and the Building Safety Regulators panel which concerns itself with safety in high-rise buildings.

As your representative, Chris can raise any issues which as a tenant or resident you have been unable to resolve to a satisfactory level.

Tenant/resident stories and experiences

We are looking for residents of high-rise buildings to share their stories, ideas and experiences.

You might want to tell us about:

  • Community projects in your building
  • Events, celebrations or positive experiences
  • Challenges you’ve overcome as a community
  • Ideas that have made your building a better place to live
  • What living in a high-rise means to you.

We’ll regularly update this section to highlight the voices and experiences of our high-rise communities.

If you’d like to share your story, please send it to us using the Tenant Voice team contact form.
