The Tool Shed initiative provides affordable access to a range of gardening tools for Wigan Council tenants, making it easier to maintain and improve outdoor spaces without the cost of purchasing equipment. Whether you're tackling an overgrown garden, carrying out seasonal maintenance, or simply looking to enhance your outdoor area, the scheme helps remove barriers and supports tenants in taking pride in their homes and neighbourhoods.

Available tools
Each Tool Shed operates slightly differently and tool availability may vary between locations. While not every site will hold the same equipment, all tools remain accessible to Wigan Council tenants through the Tool Shed network. Please contact your nearest Tool Shed to enquire about the tools currently available and the local arrangements for borrowing them.

- Tots Plot has recently joined the Tool Shed network and is currently awaiting delivery of its tools. Further information on tool availability will be shared once the equipment has arrived.
Please note: The Tool Shed previously located at Community Corner Beech Hill is currently unavailable while the organisation relocates to new premises.
