Seven topic papers have been prepared relating directly to the policy chapters in the Draft Wigan Borough Local Plan.
The topic papers summarise the evidence used to support the Local Plan and highlight the key points that show the Plan is sound. This includes demonstrating that it has been properly prepared, is justified, can be delivered, and is consistent with national and local planning policies.
They start with the planning policy context for that theme and identifies the policy requirements for the Local Plan to address, before focusing in more depth on each of those policy requirements.
