To be eligible for entry on the register you must meet the following criteria:
- Aged 18 or over
- A British citizen, a national of an EEA State other than the United Kingdom, or a national of Switzerland; and
- Seeking (either alone or with others) to acquire a serviced plot of land in Wigan Borough to build a house to occupy as your sole or main residence.
If you are applying as a group or association then you are eligible for entry in the register if each member of the association meets all of the eligibility requirements for an individual set out above. You will also need to provide details of your constitution, board members and other group members.

To assist us in offering suitable serviced plots, we will request additional information regarding your household, the type of accommodation you would like to build.
