Leaving prison

We work closely with prisons and probation services to provide advice and support for people who are at risk of homelessness on release from prison.

What support do we provide?

If you're in prison or youth detention and will have no home on release, we will assess your needs and work with you, and any professionals, to find you a home. We can:

  • Visit you in prison to complete a homeless assessment
  • Work with you and other agencies to develop a plan for release
  • Offer advice on a range of issues.

It's important that you get in touch with us as soon as possible to ensure there is enough time to explore all housing options.

What do I do?

If you are working within a prison or probation setting, and are concerned about someone who is threatened with homelessness on release from prison, you have a legal duty to notify us.

Please ensure you have the individuals consent to notify us.
