Events and opportunities

We want to share with you key events that are being hosted by the SEND service, Parent Carer Forum or partner organisations that could be beneficial for parent/carers with children with SEND.

Parent Carer Forum SEND Survey

Wigan Council and Wigan Parent Carer Forum are working together to listen to the real experiences of families. What you share will help us understand what’s working well and where change is needed so that we can help shape better support and services together. Your voice is so important, and we truly appreciate your time to complete.

One survey per child, a diagnosis is not needed and all responses are anonymous and handled with care. The survey closes in the 17th June 2025.

Transition events

The SEND service are hosting annual transition events which will provide you with important information that you will need to consider when preparing for your child’s transition to primary, secondary school or post-16. This is part of the annual reviews and phased transfer’s process.
