The £6.6m Ashton regeneration project will enhance the town centre, support local businesses, improve connectivity and create community space.
This includes improvements to Ashton’s historic market site, a new public square and plans to host a range of diverse traders, events, and community activities.
A building grant scheme is underway to improve shop fronts as well as the creation of public artworks to reflect the pride, history, and values of the local community.
The area around Gerard Street and Garswood Street will also be improved to make the town centre safer, greener and more attractive.
