Local Offer Live Event

Important information →

We are unable to take any further requests for spaces at this year’s event. If you wish to share information on your services, please contact us to make arrangements on the day.

The Local Offer Live is back for 2026.

Over the last 2 years, we have hosted an annual Local Offer Live event, bringing together services across health, education, social care and our community sector to showcase offers available to families in the borough. The event is free and open to parent, carers, young people and professionals to come too.

We aim to co-produce these with parent, carers and young people to maximise what you can get from the event. If you want to get involved you can give us your feedback or contact the Wigan Parent Carer Forum (external link).

Why we have the Local Offer Live Event

We host the Event to bring to life our Local Offer in Wigan. It is in a market- place style for children, young people, parents, carers and professionals to attend to find out information and explore what is on offer.

What to expect

You can arrive at any time during the event, and it is completely free. When you arrive, feel free to take your time. You’ll be able to meet and chat with professionals and service providers, learn about what they offer, pick up new information, and ask any questions you have. We have a range of services available, and our staff are here to help you find your way through everything on offer. This year it is at the arena, and we have a number of spaces including the banqueting suite, directors suite and boxes where there will be a quiet space where you can go to take a break with some light activities for you to get involved in.

Media and photography

Please be aware that photographs and video footage will be taken at the event and may be used in promotional materials for Wigan Council, including publication on social media platforms. If you do not wish to appear in any media, please inform us on the day of the event by speaking to the staff on the welcome desk, or speak to a member of the media team on the day. You maybe asked prior to photos to complete a consent form which will be provided on the day, and should you wish to withdraw consent at any time you can do so by contacting the Local Offer.

Workshops on the Day

Throughout the day we will be hosting workshops and consultation opportunities, designed to give you information on specific topics and areas and an opportunity to get involved. No need to book, just turn up. If you can't make it, a lot of the information on these services and offer are available at the event.
