Statutory Notice: Proposed Expansion of Hope School and College

This consultation is now closed.

Wigan Council proposes to enlarge and relocate Hope School and College by permanently expanding the school to increase its capacity to admit 230 pupils from 2021.

Within four weeks from the date of publication of these proposals, you may make comments on the proposal.

Relocation of Hope School and College

As part of the proposal to expand Hope School and College the school will need to relocate to the Central Park site.

The closing date for comments is Thursday 5th March 2020.

Consultation on admission arrangements 2021-22

There are proposed changes to the over-subscription criteria for a number of Wigan primary and secondary schools for admission to Reception and Year 7 in September 2021.

Changes to the admission arrangements for these schools may affect parents/carers applying for primary and secondary places from 2021 onwards.

Consultation closed on 17th January 2020.

In December 2018, Cabinet agreed that we could ask your views on our strategy to take a phased approach to the Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND) buildings programme, as outlined in this consultation.
