Borough's sixth Family Hub officially open!
The Family Hub at Leigh officially opens next week, and the whole community is invited to come celebrate.
The opening launch will take place on Wednesday 15 July with free activities for children and young people, giveaways and more.
This is the sixth Family Hub in the borough, providing services for the whole family, with everything from pregnancy and early years support to help with housing, finances, mental health and wellbeing, alongside fun activities for all ages.
Councillor Laura Flynn, cabinet portfolio holder for children and families, said: “Family Hubs are an incredible community resource, and I am delighted that our latest Hub has now opened its doors in Leigh. This will join the Westleigh Centre, and A Team Hub as part of our Family Hub linked site offer across Leigh.
“These Hubs are not just for babies and young children, there really is something for everyone from Work Well sessions, support to quit smoking, health services and much more.
“These renovation works really have created a superb space for local families, young people, teenagers and the whole community. I’d urge you to go along to the opening, find out more about what the Hub can do for you, or drop in any time to chat to the team.”
The opening of this Hub follows renovation works which have made the building more accessible and created more space for activities, events and services within the community.
The official launch of the Family Hub at Leigh, on Walmesley Road, WN7 1XL will take place on Wednesday 15 July, 3pm-7pm. There is no need to book.
