About the service
If you’re aged 14-25 and if you have struggled at school, Fix-it UK could be the perfect place for you. The Wigan based charity offers young people an alternative, practical option to school. With a real life garage workshop, you can get a motor industry qualification and a meaningful work related job reference to help you with your search for work. 75% of the programme is practical ‘hands on’ work, so is great if you prefer to learn by doing things, rather than by reading and writing about things.
We work in partnership with local schools so look out for information about our ‘taster days’ at your school, or just give us a ring or email us and you can arrange to come and have a look around.
