Spotlight on The Replenishery in Leigh

The Replenishery in Leigh

Hi! We’re Ian and Oli and we opened a zero waste, plastic free shop called The Replenishery in the centre of Leigh in June 2019. Since we met, we have always tried to be as plastic free and waste as little food as possible using as many eco-friendly products as we could.

The closest shops were at least an hour away and so in the hunt for something nearer we opened The Replenishery in June 2019, wanting to be there for everyone who lives close by and has a similar outlook.

Our shop principles

  • Bring your own containers and they can be filled with any of the over 250 different food staples or household liquids that we stock
  • You only buy as much or as little as you need which means that nothing goes to waste and you're only buying (and paying for) what you actually want
  • Each time you fill you are saving a piece of packaging from being created and being disposed of.

At The Replenishery we understand that changing your lifestyle overnight may be a daunting challenge. Therefore, we try to inspire our customers and let them know that any steps small or large into this journey towards cutting their waste is a fantastic thing to do.

Why go zero-waste?

Zero-waste is a lifestyle that offers the simplest solution to pollution. By tackling the plastic problem at its source or buying less and less plastic-made goods, we are taking small steps towards a greener and healthier world.

Every stage of the plastic output emits greenhouse gases - producing resin from petroleum, making products from the resin and disposal of plastic at the end of its life.

We hope to see you at The Replenishery sometime soon!

Ian and Oli
