This notice provides additional privacy information for Public Relations.
What personal data do we collect?
To carry out activities and obligations as a Public Relations Service we process the following personal data:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Address
- Telephone number
- Email address
- Gender
- Photographs and videos.
How we use personal data
The main purposes for processing your personal data are:
- To provide you with the Borough Life newsletter, where you have subscribed to this
- To promote the Council and inform the public about community activities, council services and what is happening in the Borough in publications, presentations, advertisements, exhibitions, press articles, informational material, social media and the website.
Legal Basis for processing
The lawful basis we rely on for processing your personal data is:
- Consent – where you have subscribed to the Borough Life newsletter and where we are taking photographs or videoing where you are the focus
- It is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority.
Who do we share personal data with?
In addition to the general reasons for data sharing described in the Council’s Primary Privacy Notice, we share data with the following when required:
- Email service provider
- Project partners.

How long do we keep personal data?
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any future legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
If you have subscribed to email, we will keep your email data for as long as you wish to receive a newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting Borough Life.
We must continue to retain necessary data in accordance with our corporate records policy to fulfil legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.

All the decisions we make about you involve human intervention.
