River Douglas provides habitat for a variety of wildlife. You
may be able to spot dragonflies along this stretch of the river.
The sculpture was sponsored by Douglas and Yarrow Valley Action,
Tesco, the European Regional Development Fund and Wigan and
Chorley Groundwork Trust. |

Directions
Turn
Right along Powell Street (the town centre ring road)
and continue along to the pedestrian crossing. Cross Powell
Street and make your way either via residential Hilton
Street or the footpath beside the River Douglas towards
the Tesco store. Here you will find two sculptures the
Douglas Dragonflies and the Rugby Football. |
