Christmas foodbanks

Applications must be completed online and will be treated as a priority during our office opening hours over the festive period.

You must ensure that a food bank referral is fully completed answering the questions for how many people are in the family and how many children there are, including their age and gender.

Compassion in Action

For Christmas hampers (including lunch and presents), please apply before Monday 17th December 2018.

Christmas hampers will be delivered on Sunday 23rd December.

Compassion in Action will make contact with the families directly to arrange a delivery, commencing on Monday 17th December 2018.

They will close for Christmas on Monday 24th December and open in the New Year on Wednesday 2nd Jan 2019.

Compassion in Action will be open on 27th 28th and 29th December, with minimum staff delivering the service.

Trussel Trust

Usual opening hours (closed bank holidays and weekends), and food parcels are for collection only.

Any referrals that are processed via this service will also receive an additional bag of Christmas treats including a toy, providing there are enough donations.

Cut off dates will be announced nearer to the time.

The Brick

Open hours:

  • Christmas Eve and Boxing Day: 9am -12pm
  • 27th, 28th December and New Years Day 9am - 12pm (Any food parcels during this period are for collection only)
  • Re-opens 2nd January 2019 as usual.

Referrals will receive Christmas treats in the food parcels with gifts wherever possible, depending on donations. Cut off dates will be announced nearer to the time.
