To help support the residents of the Wigan Borough with staying at home, we have put together our top five activities to do each week to make the most of your time and most importantly to have fun while staying safe at home.

Virtual art gallery
The Tate’s four art galleries may be closed, but you can still explore their galleries online. As well as viewing artworks in the gallery, you can also listen to in depth descriptions of artwork displayed at the Tate Modern. They also have lots of other resources including how to guides, online events, podcasts and activities for children with Tate Kids.
NHS Fitness Studio
The NHS Fitness Studio has lots of different free exercise online videos, which range from 10 minutes to 45 minutes. The videos are available at different levels and include aerobic exercise, strength and resistance, Pilates and yoga, and fitness plans. If you are interested in starting to run, you can try their couch to 5k programme.
Try out new recipes
If you are looking at expanding your cooking knowledge while at home, Jamie Oliver’s YouTube channel has lots of different recipe ideas which you can follow through his video tutorials. From pasta dishes to banana bread, there is even a healthy recipe mega mix, which is one hour of healthy recipes back-to-back to choose from.
