Heart of Wigan

Heart of Wigan is a programme designed to keep the hearts of Wigan healthy.

By encouraging our residents to lead a healthy lifestyle, stop smoking, keep moving and enjoy our greenspaces we can become happier, healthier and more active.

Heart sculptures

Our ‘Hearts of Wigan’ sculptures are part of a new and exciting project encouraging residents to be more active and keep their hearts healthy.

There are seven hearts located in greenspaces across the borough, each with their own unique design.

These designs have been created by local school children and seven winners were picked to be displayed proudly on the sculptures.
