Testimonials

Our schools have summed up nicely some of the positive things we have done for them - just think how we could help you!

St John’s CE Infant School, Leigh

By working in partnership with MetroFresh, we have successfully implemented the School Food Plan and Universal Free School Meals policy.

It was a major time of change and they offered us direct, flexible, bespoke support and solutions throughout the transition. They helped us to make sure that we ticked all the right compliance boxes and improved the dining experience at the same time.

We were able to introduce new ideas and good practices. Introduction of Live Kitchen was also negotiated through MetroFresh and parents are now able to talk to their child about menu choices in advance.

Following on from these changes, they have continued to support us with:

-  New ideas and food choices

-  Advice on improvements to the dining environment

-  Recruitment of a cook to suit needs of school

-  Developing exciting curriculum ideas using cooking and growing to enhance subject areas

-  Community involvement by supporting our school events.

We believe that MetroFresh provide us with quality provision and service for our catering needs and hopefully will help us to teach our children the skills they need to feed themselves whilst also taking pleasure in the creativity of cooking!

Holy Family Boothstown

We are enjoying the benefits of working together with MetroFresh to provide the best possible dining experience for our children. Through a shared vision and whole school approach to healthy eating, we are engaged in a range of activities over the school year including:

-  Y5 food group to support communal activities

-  Tasting table during school lunch

-  Baking for the young at heart with Y4

-  Afternoon tea for grandparents

-  Christmas lunch with the neighbouring community

-  Working with parents

-  Tasting sessions for Open Day, New Intake evening.

Feedback from children, parents, staff, grandparents and community is extremely positive.

Britannia Bridge

Metrofresh were able to supply the school with all the ingredients to make a fantastic array of cakes and pastries for a food tent at our summer fair. Deb Street went above and beyond her role making flapjacks, short bread and a fantastic range of cup cakes and scones for cream teas. She stayed behind helping to cook and decorate the cakes, cleaned her kitchen on Friday and then came into school early on Saturday to help set up the stall.

The food tent was a roaring success, thanks in part to the work of Deb and her son, and MetroFresh, who staffed the stall for the entire day.

Thank you once more for the huge support you have given our school with Christmas and summer fairs. We look forward to your continued support.
