Design are Craig and Mary Matthews. King Street is the centre
of Wigan's entertainment quarter. Wigan has links with a number
of famous musicians and entertainers such as George Formby and
Charlie Chaplin. Recent regeneration has seen many former theatre
and cinema buildings being transformed into clubs and cafe bars.
The work celebrates the history of the area and the street's
current renaissance. |
