When we compare our 2006-07 results with the latest results (2005-06) for other metropolitan councils, we are in the mid range.

Comments on our performance in 2006-07

English results in Wigan equalled national levels with 79% of pupils achieving level 4 or above. Wigan CYPS is using additional funding from LAA to support an innovative programme to improve boys achievement in English and especially writing.
