Comments on our performance in 2006-07

There is a background of falling rolls, which makes improvement difficult. One secondary school with very high surplus will be closed at the end of the academic year. A review of all secondary school provision is planned as soon as possible. It should be noted that Wigan is not a Building Schools for the Future authority and the shortage of capital hinders changes to provision.
