When we compare our 2006-07 results with the latest results (2005-06) for other metropolitan councils, we are in the mid range.

 

Performance is worse than last year.

 

Comments on our performance in 2006-07

 

In 2006 achievement in English at Key Stage 3 was slightly below the national average at 72% compared to 73%. However many schools had continued concern about the quality and consistency of marking and have returned whole sets of exam scripts for re-marking.
