Borough Life Summer 2006: Hindley and Abram
The Hindley and Abram forum want to see communities pulling together and having more opportunities to demonstrate pride in their area. They particularly want to show how they value the contribution made by the vast majority of young people.
A new signboard featuring a local artist’s work is being installed in Bamfurlong and Bryn Gates developed by the forum with the help of a local residents group.
Plans for a township wide sports and leisure association are underway to help clubs work in partnership to provide the best possible sporting opportunities in the area.
Environmental improvements at the Bethel, Hindley Green - including the installation of planters - have been carried out by the forum with the help of local florist Alyson O’Neil of Creative Flowers and Gifts.
