Although based in Marsh Green the centre will be available for residents in the whole of the Wigan South township, including Pemberton, Kitt Green, Poolstock, Goose Green, Marus Bridge, Worsley Hall, Newtown, Worsley Mesnes and Norley Hall.
Included in the bright and welcoming Life Centre is a new reception area with customer service staff, one to one enquiry desks, computer terminals for web enquiry access, free to use hot phone to resolve enquiries and a meeting room for local groups and councillors' surgeries.
The Life Centre will make it easier for residents to contact the Council and get the services they need.
Surgeries at the Life Centre
- Police surgery - 1st Monday of every month 2:00-3:00
- Councillor Prescott surgery - 3rd Monday of every month 2:00-3:00
- Jobcentre Lone Parent Advisor surgery - Alternate Tuesday mornings (appointments only)
- Wigan Independent Advice - Every Tuesday 2:00-4:00 (Please ring 01942 324851 to check availability)
- Health Trainers - Every Wednesday and Thursday all day (Please contact Debbie on 01942 481712 for appointment or referral sheets are available on reception)
An Environmental Services advisor is on site Monday - Wednesday and a Benefits Advisor Thursday - Friday.
