What happens to the rubbish in my blue bin (or white sack)?
Your paper, card and cartons are taken to Shotton Paper Mill in North Wales, where it is recycled into items such as newspapers, magazines and packaging. You can help to reduce the amount of rubbish going to landfill by recycling as much of your rubbish as possible. You can also try to reuse items, such as envelopes. Better still; try to avoid creating rubbish in the first place, such as registering to receive your bills and banks statements online, rather than on printed statements.
