What do you need to apply to be a foster carer

You need to have some experience of looking after children - either your own or other peoples.
You need the physical space to care for a child, such as a spare bedroom in your home.
You need to have the time and energy to look after a child.
You need to have a stable home life with no major events / life changes happening at the time of your application.

Who can apply to be a foster carer

We welcome enquiries and applications from a wide variety of backgrounds including those who are:
married or living together, single, widowed or divorced people;
householders or tenants;
employed or unemployed;
of any religious faith or none; and
of any race or ethnic origin.
