The Regional Spatial Strategy (external link) was published in September 2008.
The Government is committed to abolishing Regional Spatial Strategies as soon as possible and measures to achieve this are included in the Decentralisation and Localism Bill currently before Parliament. It will happen once the Bill is enacted and the appropriate measures come into force.
