The Travel Plans Supplementary Planning Document applies to all proposed development that would adversely affect congestion in the borough. In such instances developers are required to submit a Travel Plan alongside their planning application or, in certain circumstances, a Travel Plan will be required as a condition of planning permission. This Supplementary Planning Document sets outs what will be required to achieve a robust, effective and sustainable Travel Plan.
It also provides guidance for existing organisations such as workplaces and schools to establish their own Travel Plans.
The Travel Plan Supplementary Planning Document is supplementary to Policy A1B in the Replacement Unitary Development Plan.
