The Statement of Community Involvement sets out how and when you can be involved in the preparation of Local Development Framework documents, as well as being consulted on planning applications and development proposals.
We want to ensure as wide a range of individuals and organisations have an opportunity to be involved as possible.

This is a revised and updated version of our Statement of Community Involvement. It was approved by Cabinet and adopted in January 2011.
It was revised to take account of changes made by Government to how planning policy documents are prepared and to reflect our experience of consultation undertaken to date. Our Consultation Statement (.pdf, 278Kb) sets out how and when we consulted on the revised version and the comments received.
