Infrastructure Delivery Plan

The Infrastructure Delivery Plan is part of the evidence base supporting the Wigan Local Development Framework Core Strategy.

The purpose of the Infrastructure Delivery Plan (.PDF, 368KB) is to identify the infrastructure required to meet the spatial objectives and growth proposed in the Core Strategy covering the period 2011 to 2026.

Infrastructure includes the physical aspects of development as well as the social and environmental aspects.

It should be read with the Infrastructure Needs Assessment (.PDF, 712KB). This sets out an overview of physical, social and green infrastructure in the borough and anticipated changes. It identifies existing provision and any gaps or capacity issues. This information is largely extracted from the infrastrucutre audit sections of our Topic Papers.

Information on the independant examination of the Core Strategy can be viewed on the Core Strategy Examination webpage.
