The Greater Manchester Forecasting Model is an integrated economic, population and household forecasting model focused on the Manchester City Region (Greater Manchester with High Peak and west Cheshire).
It has been adopted by the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities (external link) as the single forecasting ‘tool’ to underpin all ‘home-grown’ strategies for the sub and city region, thereby ensuring a robust and consistent evidence base.
The Greater Manchester Forecasting Model (external link) is provided by Oxford Economics (external link) who have developed the model to be readily updateable. It is updated annually.
