Wigan Council commissioned GVA in July 2010 to undertake a study testing the case for an employment location of exceptional quality within Wigan, utilising the existing evidence that is in place underpinning the Core Strategy.

Please note that the Stage 2 report was updated and reissued to Wigan Council in May 2011 to rectify errors in the document issued to Wigan Council in 2010. The errors were made by GVA and related to out-of-date site scores and ranks being included in the report findings. The clarification note below identifies these errors and clarifies how they have been rectified.
